As we all know, French-girl style, as it’s commonly referred to, has long been highly covetable and that’s likely to always be the case. The reason behind this is that their underlying aesthetic is classic and accessible. I don’t know about you, but I have all things fall on the brain lately, beauty products included. While I gravitate toward a pretty natural beauty look—which you’ll see plenty of below—I must say that I’m very tempted to add a flick of liquid eyeliner or a bold lip color to my rotation after doing the research for this story. As you’ve probably noticed, French girls know how to wear a bold lip. It’s especially beneficial to have on hand when you want to look pulled together without really trying.
I usually shy away from anything but neutral eye shadow colors, but the number of cool French-girl selfies featuring bold, matte shadow I’ve seen lately is very persuasive.
