If you’re tuned in to the fashion world on any level, you’re probably aware that tie-dye emerged as a major trend around this time last year. We reported on it as soon as we noticed it and proceeded to immediately wear the print on repeat, but it definitely hit a saturation point and many of our editors vowed to at least stop buying more of it.
That being said, 2020 is ushering in a new version of the acclaimed tie-dye print you and I saw so much of last year. On the S/S 20 runways, we saw the loud rainbow colors and sharply defined tie-dyes of yore give way to softer versions of the print involving more monochromatic colorways and watercolor-inspired patterns. At Tibi, that manifested in dyed denim skirts and trousers, while at Dior, tie-dyed maxi skirts were elegantly styled with lace-up sandals (another big spring trend to watch).
So naturally, when we saw this shift begin to happen, we knew that we needed to get our own Who What Wear collection on board. As we always do with the must-have items of the moment, we designed our very own soft tie-dye print pieces (including everything from skirts to dresses to sweatshirts). To see and shop the tie-dye pieces (and get all the outfit inspo you could possibly need), just keep scrolling.
