Katie Holmes Wore the Only Flats Trend I’m Wearing With Jeans This Winter

In the latest episode of Katie Holmes, the street style star (it’s a thing), we have Holmes wearing an oversize wool coat and jeans. She might have been trying to go incognito as a chic New Yorker, but her attention-grabbing shoes didn’t fool me. Holmes opted for a pair of leopard-print Tod’s loafers. Animal-print shoes have been a trend for multiple seasons now, so when I say “the only flats trend I’m wearing with jeans this winter,” I’m referring to loafers.

As a self-professed loafer lover, I’m happy to see that people are wearing them again. (Truth be told, I never stopped.) I find them to be some of the best flats to wear in the winter because many of them have substantial soles (some even have lug soles), and they look especially cool with socks, which you’ll need when the weather turns arctic for much of the country this week.

Keep scrolling to see and shop the flats trend both Katie Holmes and I are endorsing.

On Katie Holmes: Chloé bag; Tod’s Gommino Driving Shoes In Ponyskin-Effect Leather ($830)

These are similar to Holmes’s pair, and they look quite comfortable.

Everlane’s affordable loafers never cease to impress me.

Had to include these holy-grail loafers.

Just added these to my cart, HBU?

Cute.

I love the menswear-inspired vibe of these.

The perfect winter loafers, found.

In case you need a break from leopard print.

I have a hunch I’d wear these for years.

The snakeskin trend isn’t just for boots.
